Fran Sancisco!

Sister Lulu and I are hobnobbing around lovely Fog City...which has not been foggy but clear and delightful.

A few east coast/west coast differences:

1) Easy to find a public bathroom. When you are in a store or restaurant, they don't ask you to sign over your life or hand you a key on an elephant trunk...clean too...

2) Streets are marked with street signs and often with the names engraved in the sidewalk. On the east coast, we are notorious for no street signs; we're saying, yeah, good luck to ya!

3) Public transportation -- the subway here, the Bart, is just cleaner...we think anyway. And more plentiful. Oh, and at some of the bus stops, LED signs that tell you when the next bus is coming.

4) Less miserable people. Overall, people are friendlier, looser, open. I know it's a cliche but it's true. We believe the weather has a lot to do with it and the fact that they pump extra oxygen into the air here. Ahem.

More later!
